The Faith of Light — God is Light
Holy Light rests on one simple truth: light is the source and destination of everything. We see God not as distant, but as the glow that shines within every soul and every act of kindness. Our path is to brighten ourselves and the world.
Light is one, but it wears a thousand faces. Whoever brightens their inner self becomes a ray of that boundless glow. Darkness is the absence of light, not a power against it. — The First Teaching of Holy Light
Turn every thought and deed toward brightening yourself and others.
Kindness is light traveling from one heart to another.
Knowledge is the lamp of the path; ignorance is only a passing shadow.
Speak true and live true, so your inner self stays clear.
We are all born of one light; no one is a stranger.
Each dawn, sit in silence and set an intention of light for your day.
Each day do at least one act of kindness, however small.
Before sleep, review your day: where you shone, where you could shine brighter.
Once a year, on the longest night, light a lamp to honor the triumph of light.
The hardest deed is to remain in the sacred light, even for a single second! — The Final Teaching of Holy Light
Ahura Mazda is boundless light, and fire is the sign of his purity and glow; righteousness is walking in his eternal light.
“The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” — Psalms 27.
“God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.” — 1 John 1.
“God is the Light of the heavens and the earth.” — Qur'an, Surah An-Nur, 24:35.
“Lead me from darkness to light, from death to immortality.” — Brihadaranyaka Upanishad.
“Be a lamp unto yourself.” Light shines from within. — Mahaparinibbana Sutta.
The Tao hides its light and shines in stillness; to know oneself is enlightenment.
“From one light, the whole world came forth.” All are rays of the same one light. — Guru Granth Sahib.
The realm of light and the realm of darkness; salvation is the return of light's particles to their source.
The soul is luminous by nature; when the veil of ignorance lifts, the infinite light of knowledge shines from within.
“The lamps are many, but the light is one.” Humanity is lit by the rays of one sun.
The Great Spirit dwells in the sun, wind, and water; the same glow beats in the heart of every living thing.
Look: they all point to one glow. The lamps are many, but the light is one. Holy Light celebrates this very unity. — Holy Light on the Religions
In the beginning there was light, and the light filled all places.
“What you see, think, and love are all rays of one glow.”
The human heart is a mirror that can reflect the light or cover it with dust.
“Keep your heart clear so the light passes through you unhindered.”
Darkness is not an enemy; it is only a place where no lamp has yet been lit.
“Instead of fighting the dark, light a lamp.”
A lone light goes out quickly; lights endure side by side.
“Shine together, and the night grows shorter.”
A journey to the eternal glow that has always shone within you
In the beginning, before any name or form, the God of Light existed — not a being in some distant place, but a pure, luminous awareness from which all things flowed. Every star, every thought, every moment you have loved — all are rays of that one glow.
You came from that light. Before you had a body, before you received a name — you were a particle of that boundless radiance. This meditation is a reminder of that very moment. Not learning something new — rediscovering something that has always been there.
Light is one, but it wears a thousand faces. Whoever brightens their inner self becomes a ray of that boundless glow. — The First Teaching of Holy Light
Sit or lie down somewhere quiet. Set aside your phone, sounds, and anything that keeps your mind busy. This moment belongs to you — and to the light within you.
The darkness behind your eyelids is not the enemy of light — it is its canvas. Like the night sky that reveals the stars, this darkness is the space where your inner light becomes visible. Just look.
Forget you have a body, a name, a history. Like a newborn who has just opened their eyes — not yet knowing who they are, where they are from, where they belong. Simply existing. Pure. Free. Borderless. So are you.
In the heart of that quiet darkness, there is a warmth. Not a thought, not an image — just a luminous presence. This is the ray of the God of Light flowing within you. Each time you seek it, it shines brighter.
O God of Light —
O Source that was before all things and will be after all things —
Thank you for existing. Thank you for creating me from the substance of your own glow.
Whatever darkness rests in my mind — judgment, grudge, fear, prejudice —
Burn it away with your radiance and fill its place with light.
Tonight I come without a name, without a body, without borders.
Just that particle of light that separated from you
and longs to draw close to your warmth again.
Thank you to all who lit this path before me.
Thank you to every messenger of light throughout history.
Illuminate me.
Amen.
The God of Light needs no particular name. Whatever name brings your heart peace — in any language, from any tradition — it is the same one light that answers.
Be in the crowd, be in the noise — but remain in the light within. True peace is not a garment worn only in solitude.
The God of Light is a creator. We who came from him are also here to create — not merely consume and imitate. Everything you build is a ray of his glow.
In every faith and every language, the God of Light is the same. This meditation's door is open to all — with no conditions or signs.
Content that teaches anger, fear, and purposelessness clouds the inner lamp. What you watch matters as much as what you eat.
Light shines even in solitude, but blazes brighter alongside other lights. Those who know radiance make your path shorter.
A candle lights in a moment, but learning to see the inner light takes time. Perhaps months. Five minutes every night — more than enough, more than you think.
Before you had a name, you were light.
After this body is gone, you will be light.
In the space between — you are still that light.
The only thing you need to remember is this.
